To create Twidgy, it took me a lot of workarounds, mainly for tap actions and tweet information. The widget’s example is showing Martin Garrix’s latest tweets. But what if you want to see the ones from Will Smith or someone else, how to change it? In this article, I will help you with that.

TL;DR: Remember the person’s username, create an RSS feed of their latest tweets, and configure your widget to make it display their profile correctly.

Step 1: Remember the person’s username.

This is an obvious step; you have to know who you want to show in the widget (Twidgy). Take a look at their profile on Twitter, then write down their username or just remember it.

Step 2: Get their tweets’ information.

After knowing their username, go to nitter.net. You will see this:

Untitled

Don’t worry, it’s pretty simple. Type the person’s username in the “Enter username” box, then press Enter. Nitter will search for the name you have just typed. For example, if I search for Justin Bieber, I get this:

Untitled

Choose the correct one to you. After that, look at the address bar. Your link should look like “nitter.poast.org/<username>”, with <username> means the person’s username. For example, nitter.poast.org/justinbieber. Now, add “/rss” after it to convert the link into an RSS feed. It will be like nitter.net/justinbieber/rss. Copy this, and you’re done! However, it is not the final step.

Step 3: Apply your information to Twidgy in Widgy.

After you save some or all Twidgy widgets’ QR code, open Widgy, choose whatever Twidgy widget you want to use. If you don’t know how to import a Widgy widget, go to this link. This is the instruction for all sizes. They have similar process, so I will show the detailed instructions for the small widget (Twidgy S). For other sizes (M, L, and XL), you can do the same thing as the small one.

Step 4: Set up tap actions.

If you want to achieve a truly functional Twidgy (that will open a tweet in Twitter), follow this step.

Go to wtf.roflcopter.fr/rss-bridge/#bridge-Twitter. In the “By username” option, type the person’s username in the “Username” box. Then, check the “Without replies” box, as shown in the photo below.
